html - How to align an input tag to the center without specifying the width?

I have these HTML and CSS:

  border-width: 1px;

  cursor: pointer;
  font-weight: bold;
  padding: 5px;
  text-align: center;
  text-shadow: 1px 1px 1px #000000;
}

You need to put the text-align:center on the containing div, not on the input itself.
