zoom - Fixing Amcharts dateaxis when adding new data with plugin

Question

I am using the amcharts rangeselector plugin for choosing to view my data in certain periods of time. I was wondering how I can maintain the selection when a new item of data is added. Currently, when I add data after zooming using the plugin, the chart "accommodates" by adjusting the zoom slightly which then makes my zoom not exactly right (ex. the zoom will show ~1.5 seconds instead of the previously selected option of 1 second). How can I maintain the selected zoom from the plugin even while loading in new data?
