java - Compatibility between RandomAccessFile and Scanner

Basically I've got a problem with code and looked up for answers. Found some but also got a question: how to make data got from something like this:

Scanner line = new Scanner(System.in);
String rawString = line.nextLine();

be readable after saving it to binary file, using RandomAccessFile. There is incompatibility between data read by method of Scanner class from System.in and form saved by method writeUTF(). I've got to know, that writeUTF() isn't actually writing using utf-8 but some kind of modified version of it. And it got me thinking: is there a posibility to save string containing characters like "?, ?, ?, ?, ń, ó, ?, ?, ?" into binary file by using RandomAccessFile and read it back, showing it back on console, making it readable. And I haven't found any yet. Simplified saving (without try catch statements):

RandomAccessFile file = new RandomAccessFile("file.bin","rw");
file.writeUTF(rawString);
file.close();

And reading:

RandomAccessFile plik = new RandomAccessFile("file.bin","r");
System.out.println(file.readUTF(rawString));
file.close();

I tried it, but haven't found any way yet. I would be glad if any of you could share/explain something that would help me solve this problem or just show me that it's impossible/to complicated to do.
