When is Isle of Wight festival 2023?
The traditional curtain-raiser of the UK festival season, the Isle of Wight Festival's origins go back to 1968, when it gained a reputation for being Europe's version of Woodstock.
The first festival, held at Hells Field near Godshill, saw around 10,000 revellers attend.
Although there was no Isle of Wight Festival for more than 30 years post-1970, it was relaunched in 2002 by music promoter John Giddings.
In 2023, the Isle of Wight Festival will be held between Thursday June 15 and Sunday June 18 - with around 50,000 festival-goers expected.
Isle of Wight festival 2023 lineup?
A host of big-name artists will be joining Pulp at the 2023 edition of the Isle of Wight Festival.
Groove Armada will be the first artist to headline the Main Stage on the Thursday of the event, with LF System, Oh My God It's The Church and Lottery Winners providing support on the opening day.
Among the artists to appear on the Main Stage on Friday June 15 are The Clause, Courteeners, OneRepublic, Sugababes and Sophie Ellis-Bextor, before Pulp's highly-anticipated headline slot.
Saturday's action on the Main Stage will see the likes of George Ezra, The Chemical Brothers, N-Dubz, Anne-Marie, Sam Ryder, Gabrielle and Scouting For Girls.
On Sunday June 18, the final day of the Isle of Wight festival in 2023, there will be headline performances from Robbie Williams, Blondie, Niall Horan, James Bay, Mika and Ella Henderson.
A host of other artists will feature across four days, including Sabrina Carpenter, The Human League, Example, Manic Street Preachers, Flo, Echo & The Bunnymen, The Enemy, The Reytons and Gang of Youths.
