powerbi - Why do companies use Snowflake + BI solutions over native analytics?

Question

I'm in the process of researching how to get useful business insights from our company's Zendesk data, and maybe combine it with data from Jira and Salesforce to expand on that.

There's lots of ways to implement BI & data analytics using Snowflake and some BI solution, but I noticed that services like Zendesk Explore already provides a pretty good and extensive data analytics & dashboard, and it's integrated into Zendesk too which makes things a lot easier to deal with.

What are some reasons that companies choose Snowflake + BI solution over native analytics like Zendesk Explore?

1. Because the company already has a BI stack and doesn't want to run 2 separate ones
2. Because the out-of-the-box BI solution doesn't provide all the functionality/customisation the company requires
