vscode settings - Spell check the previous word after the spacebar is hit with the Code Spell Checker extension

Question

The Code Spell Checker extension in VSCode only checks for errors after you stop typing for a certain period of time. In the settings for the extension the default amount of time that the extension waits before spell checking is 50ms, but what I want is for the spell checker to immediately check the previous word after I have typed it.
