office addins - Best practice about add-in source code hosting

Question

I developed an Outlook add-in using office.js library.

Now, I want to deploy the add-in inside my company: I read that I have to upload the XML manifest on the Microsoft 365 admin center and that I need to host the source code elsewhere.

That's why I need your recommendations: where is the best place for hosting an office add-in in order to be reachable by all my users? If I host it on a local web server, when the users will work remotely, they won't have the add-in... If I host it on a public web server, the source code will be downloadable by anyone.

I'm lost...
