cannot upload png base 64 image using vue.js and laravel

Question

I'm trying to upload image using vue.js and laravel using following code to upload base64 imaage

$image = str_replace('data:image/jpeg;base64,', '', $images);
$image = str_replace('data:image/png;base64,', '', $images);
$image = str_replace(' ', '+', $image);
$imageName = 'img/' . $request->ID . '/' . mt_rand() . '.png';
Storage::disk('public')->put($imageName, base64_decode($image));

but this upload only jpeg image if i upload any other format image it uploads corrupted format. Any help is highly appreciated.
