server - 如何正确备份本地服务器上的数据库？(How to properly back up a database on a local server?)

Question

I'm developing a wordpress and vbulletin websites on my PC on a local server (xampp) and to back them up am simply backing up the corresponding "htdocs" and "mysql/data" folders both to an external drive/

Am i doing OK or should I proceed differently?

Also, can I simply back up the same way those files to the cloud?
