can bus - What are different CAN Interface avaible as part of python-can lib

Question

I am learning the CAN protocol newly as has requirment to create an interface for reading and writing CAN frame between my existing application (on PC) and ECU via CAN bus

I came across python-can library which provide differnt CAN module interaces. I am confused what are these different modules and which one to use for my case.

eq- PCAN, SocketCAN, Multicast IP Interface etc.

Any document which can explain this clearly in detail or any other pointer.

Also is there any other open souce lib apart from python-can?
